In 2026, we are celebrating 50 years of Styrelf®, TotalEnergies' iconic range of polymer-modified bitumen.
Since 1976, the Styrelf® brand has established itself as a major benchmark for road construction professionals.
Designed to improve pavement durability, the binders in the range offer enhanced resistance to fatigue, temperature variations and pavement rutting. Their technical qualities have helped to extend the service life of road infrastructure and reduce maintenance requirements. This consistent performance explains why the range is now the European market leader.
Over the years, a major challenge has emerged: reducing the carbon footprint of road infrastructure. The range has therefore gradually been expanded to include solutions aimed at reducing the environmental impact of construction sites, in particular through the increased use of recycled materials in asphalt mixes, lower application temperatures and the integration of biomass-derived components.
Now deployed in more than 30 countries, the Styrelf® brand continues to embody a clear requirement: to offer scalable, high-performance solutions that are in line with the transition to more responsible roads.
